FRAMPTON Athletic’s first team have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, winning all 6 of their games, including one Bristol Premier Combination Cup match and one GFA Senior Amateur Cup game.

They sit at the top of the table at the end of September. Having brought in a number of new faces, Frampton have left no time in bonding the new team together, scoring 16 goals and conceding just 4 goals in their opening 6 games.

The highlight of the new season was the 5-1 GFA Cup win against Downend Forresters from the Bristol & Suburban leagues, which saw all 5 goals scored by Frampton Athletic veteran Mike Beake.

Frampton Athletic Reserves have had a less favourable start to the season, winning just 1 of their opening 5 games of the season.  In the league, they have won one, drawn 3 and lost one. They were also knocked out in the first round of the GFA Intermediate Cup, falling to a 4-0 defeat at home to Bristol Bilbao.

Club Secretary Nick Talbot said, “Frampton Athletic will be looking to continue their run of form for as long as possible and maintain their number one position in the table. The Reserves will be looking to turn their fortunes around and start to string some good results together to move themselves up the table”.
