FRAMPTON Cotterell Cricket Club are preparing to host the best young talent in the region this month.

For the third year running, the club has been selected to host the Bristol and District Youth Cup Finals.

5 games will be staged at the clubs ground at The Park in Frampton Cotterell on July 28, covering ages groups from under 11 to under 17.

It will be a full programme, with play getting underway at 10.30, and the last game scheduled to start at 4.30.

The club are hoping local people will turn out to see some of the days games on their two squares. A barbecue and bar will be on hand.

Club Secretary Phil Cordy played in the finals when they were held at the County Ground in Bristol.

"It was great to play there, but the ground was empty. I think the youngsters playing this year will have a better experience because there will be a great atmosphere and lots of people watching on".

"We are thrilled to be hosting the finals again and I’m sure it will be a day to remember"
